A – I think a lot of people are and ready to vote for anyone that seems vaguely reasonable and not desperate for power. I believe some people are so frustrated they’d cast a complain vote for “that TV guy from the sewer.” I’m sympathetic. I’m also flattered, but obviously, not cut out for the position. Hell, I can barely keep my own show on the air.

A – Sure. I still think America offers the foremost opportunity for those who are grave about pursuing existence, liberty, and happiness. But, like most “isms,” I don’t see anything inherently good or horrible about “patriotism.” (Hitler loved his region but still managed to be an asshole.)

Related to the second paragraph, high schools are starting to push trades. My district is incorporating autos, machine shop, and welding programs. My building will host autos. They actually just moved the machine shop to a different high school.
What I see possibly happening would be exactly what happened with colleges/millenials could happen with trades/Gen Z/AA. Schools push too tough, over-abundance of folks for a specific skill, jobs dry up, pay becomes non-competitive, they accuse Millenials for fucking up their life.
That's good. When I was in school, they all but dissuaded anyone from going to the careers/trade school. They pushed college harder than drug abstinence.
