Young gay experience

In the summer of 1999, when he was 15, a youth I will refer to by only his first name, Jeffrey, finally admitted to himself that he was gay. This uncovering had been coming on for some time; he had noticed that he felt no attraction to girls and that he became aroused when showering with other boys after physical learning class. But Jeffrey is a devout Southern Baptist, attending church several times each week, where, he says, the pastor seems to make a signal of condemning homosexuality. Jeffrey knew of no homosexuals in his high academy or in his small town in the heart of the South. (He asked that I withhold not only his last designate but also any other aspects of his life that might reveal his identity.) He prayed that his errant feelings were a phase. But as the truth gradually settled over him, he told me last summer during a phone conversation punctuated by nervous visits to his bedroom door to make sure no family member was listening in, he became suicidal.

“I’m a Christian – I’m like, how could God possibly undertake this to me?” he said. “My mother’s always saying, ‘It’ll be so wonderful when you meet that stunning Christian g

I'm a middle-aged man who has been married twice and widowed. I'm also a father to two grown children. And I'm gay.

My sexuality was a burden I carried for so long, and hiding it became part of my core identity, weighing me down. But I finally had the courage to come out at 55. Honestly, I sometimes wish I hadn't waited so long.

Growing up in the '80s was not a sound environment for a queer kid, so I chose to hide my right self

Growing up in the '80s in Las Vegas, I was in a different, difficult period. I knew as early as 12 or 13 that I was diverse, but in those days, I had no frame of reference for what it meant to be gay. Blatant homophobia and pressure to fit in left me thinking I was some sort of freak. I avoided getting close to anyone and buried my secret, in favor of a more "normal" experience.

I eventually met and married a wonderful gal who knew my secret, and we started a family together. When cancer stole her a few years later, I was left with two fresh children to boost. During that elongated journey of grief and single parenthood, I had a few m

Brad Pitt Shares One Sexual Experience He “Missed That Window” to Have

Brad Pitt’s curiosity only goes so far.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button star’s intimate history became a topic of discussion during his recent appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast when host Dax Shepard began to discuss the way the two actors met.

“Sexually, you mean?” Brad, 61, jokingly interrupted during the June 23 episode before noting that he’s “never had a gay experience.”

“I kind of missed that window,” he went on, telling Dax, 50, that “if I did, it wouldn't be you.”

In evidence, Brad quipped that the Parenthood alum—who is married to Kristen Bell—would only be “14th or 15th” on his list if he were to experiment with the same sex, though the comedian responded with some teasing of his own.

“I don’t wish to brag, but you’re gonna need to construct up to me,” Dax replied. “I do propose you start with some starters.”

Kidding aside, Brad—who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie—has been dating Ines de Ramon since November 2022. The couple have stepped out togethe
